This was when infomercials were about 5-10 minutes long  and confined to promotions that told viewers that a product existed and  motivated consumers to go to the nearest retailer to buy the product.  Basically, it just a longer version of the average television commercial  we see today.&nbsp;Did you know that infomercial industry was the precursor to the Home Shopping Network and QVC? When you think about it, they are essentially 24 hour mini infomercials, product driven, price driven, and celebrity driven.&nbsp;Buying infomercial products are downright cool! They are useful, inexpensive, and make life easier in so many ways &mdash; from cooking to home repair.
